Mockford Blinds was a Family business supplying interior handmade blinds and awnings to the Eastbourne and Seaford area.

At the beginning of 2020 the owners of Mockford Blinds (my grandparents) asked me if I could design and maintain a website for the business and support them in other areas. I happily agreed and went upon designing and building www.mockfordblinds.co.uk

I also set up Google and Facebook ads to help to drive traffic to the site. This worked and the business began to see a huge increase in enquiries. Due to both the increase in business and the COVID-19 situation, my grandparents asked me if I would support the business in other ways for a year to help them with the business through the pandemic.

I agreed to this and begun updating other company systems such as using Xero to maintain the books and stay up to date with payments. In the first 9 months I learnt how to manufacture vertical blinds, fitted various types of blinds and awnings and made over £70,000 in sales. 

The driving product in these sales were the exterior awnings which I focused the advertising on and 3D modelled the various offerings allowing me to provide mock-ups of what the awning would look like in place.
